Each mini-league has two different leaderboards – for league and individual performance.
Think of the mini-league leaderboard like your typical soccer or NFT league table to view the standings, while the individual leaderboard is where you get to see the stats of each member.
League Leaderboard
Rankings are calculated based on points earned by each player in the league, as follows.
- Win a game: 1 point
- Win a series: 1 point
- Draw a game: 0.5 points
- Draw a series: 0.5 points
A match can be played over only a game or three games. So, if John plays against Jane for a one-game series, and Jane wins the game (and the match), then Jane earns 1 + 1 = 2 points. If it’s a draw, each player gets 0.5 points for tying the single game, plus 0.5 points for drawing the match, with a sum of one point per player.
For a three-game series based on the example below, John earns two points for winning two games and one point for winning the series. Jane wins one point only for winning one game.
Game #1: John (win) – Jane (loss)
Game #2: John (loss) – Jane (win)
Game #3: John (win) – Jane (loss)
Player with higher points is ranked higher, not based on total wins.
Individual Leaderboard
This leaderboard aims to showcase each player’s performance via comprehensive stats. It takes into account all the games played by a player regardless if they win or lose a match. Rankings are determined based on players’ average pinfalls – the average points earned for each game.
For example, in a head-to-head match between two players in a three-game series, each player will have their stats (total strikes, spares, turkeys) for the three games recorded on this leaderboard, including the average pinfalls.
We use average score instead of highest score to rank individual players because some players may not be able to participate at every league session
