Each game offers three types of leaderboards – weekly, monthly and overall. Each leaderboard is differentiated based on its time period. For example, the weekly leaderboard only includes scores submitted during the current week. The overall leaderboard does not have a time period which means it ranks all the scores ever submitted from day one.
How Ranking is Calculated
Each game uses different metrics to rank each player. Some games use average scores meaning all the scores submitted by a player are divided by the number of submissions. Some use the sum of all scores submitted by a player. Also, some games use the best score, such as a golf game.
Leaderboard Time Periods
- Weekly – Weekly leaderboard shows the players’ rankings based on scores that are submitted for the current week. Each week starts from Sunday after midnight (00:00 UTC) until Saturday before midnight (23:59 UTC). The existing rankings are purged at the end of each week.
- Monthly – Monthly leaderboard displays rankings of scores submitted from the midnight of the first day of the month until the last day of the month before midnight (23:59 UTC). The existing rankings are purged at the end of each month.
- Overall – This leaderboard ranks all players that ever submitted their scores within the current year. This board will be purged on new year’s eve at 23:59 UTC.
We Use UTC Timezone (No Daylight Saving)
UTC or GMT timezone is the standard timezone we utilize. Below shows some simple conversions method.
- UTC to EST – Eastern timezone is 4 hours behind UTC. So, 11:30 pm UTC is 7:30pm EST.
- UTC to CET – Central timezone is 5 hours behind UTC. So, 11:30pm UTC is 6:30pm CET.
- UTC to PST – Pacific timezone is 7 hours behind UTC. So, 11:30pm UTC is 4:30pm PST.
We do not take into account daylight saving time.
